General information only
Everything in the lifespan section of SLOWageing is general information about health, ageing and longevity research. It is not medical advice, and it is not tailored to you, your history or your circumstances.
Not a substitute for your doctor
Nothing here replaces advice from a qualified health professional. Before you start, stop or change anything, whether a medication, a supplement, a diet, an exercise programme or how you manage a health condition, speak with your GP or an appropriate professional. Do not ignore or delay professional advice because of something you have read here. If you think you have a medical emergency, call 000 or go to your nearest emergency department.
How to read the content
We summarise published research and grade how strong the evidence is. Evidence changes, much of it is uncertain or contested, and a finding that holds in a study may not apply to you. Where we describe what a trial used, such as a dose or a training schedule, that is a description of the research, not a recommendation or a prescription. We do not provide doses, protocols or treatment plans.
Personal experience
Where a personal experience is shared, it is one person's account, an experiment with a single subject. It is not evidence about what will work for you, and it is not a recommendation.
Other websites
We link to external sources so you can read the original research. We are not responsible for the content of websites we link to.
No relationship, nothing to sell
Reading this does not create a professional or practitioner relationship. SLOWageing sells no products and gives no medical, clinical or financial advice.
Liability
To the extent permitted by law, SLOWageing and Iaso Health accept no liability for any loss or harm arising from use of this information. You act on it at your own discretion.
